Training Topic: Ergonomics: The Human Factor
The Sherwin-Williams Purdy Applicator Plant, an OSHA VPP Star site and member of the Oregon SHARP Alliance, will host a tour of its manufacturing facility, followed by a lunch-and-learn session.
Recognized by OSHA as a VPP Star site since 2008, the Purdy facility is committed to a culture of continuous safety improvement. During the tour, participants will observe the paintbrush and roller cover manufacturing process while learning about existing safety enhancements that may be applicable to their own sites. As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we welcome feedback on any additional safety opportunities you may identify.
For your safety while touring the facility, closed-toe shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection are required. PPE will be available on site.
Parking Note: Please enter through the N. Harborgate St. entrance, as navigation apps may direct you to the wrong entrance. Use the call button at the gate for access. Lunch will be provided during the training session following the tour.
